Let's get this started!

Okay so I have been using another website to share photos with family and friends and decided to give blogging a try. It seems like everyone is doing it these days so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. This will also give me an opportunity to journal a little bit better! Hopefully more! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season, we really wish we could have been closer to home but we did enjoy our quiet little Christmas. The kids were thrilled with the things that Santa brought them as well as all the gifts they recieved in the mail. By the way... thanks Shelli for the wonderful Spider man shooter thing. I will have you know that I have been shot in the head constantly since, followed by giggles from hiding children, ha ha! Sweet little things aren't they? I am sure that most of you know already but we did get a puppy for Christmas as well. She is really sweet, her name is Nikki. However, I have to admit that I feel like I have a newborn baby that is keeping me up all night and haven't had much sleep since we got her. I know it will get better though. She came to us with a few problems... normal dog problems and has been a little sick but after a couple of trips to the vet I think we are on the right track to a happy, healthy dog. She is my little shadow. Follows me all over the house so now I am constantly tripping over 3 things, not just two but we love her and are having a fun time having her in our family! I think that is a good way to start this thing out. Please if you have any suggestions on fun things to do with the kids share them. They have a really long break from school (don't go back until the 8th) and I am running out of ideas.
