I hope that everyone had a MERRY CHRISTMAS! We enjoyed being home for the holidays, and are so grateful that we were able to spend them in Utah for the first time in a VERY long time. The snow has been fun, but I am over it and hope that it is done until we leave :) Pajha made a wish at the mall that it would snow everyday, and when we walked out of the mall it was snowing. She was so excited that her wish had come true.
The kids did Ginger bread houses, and we joined in on my sisters Christmas Eve traditions this year which is opening our new PJ's and happily jumping into them to make and decorate sugar cookies for Santa. It was just what we needed. My nephew Jordan gave Shelli and Ross gifts that night, when they opened them they were t-shirts that read "soon to be Grandma" and "soon to be Grandpa".... it was quite a surprise. I am very happy for them. Congrats Jordan and Whitney on your "soon to be bundle of joy!" I can't help but remember my sweet nephew as a 12 year old waiting up for me to get home from a date just to give me a hug goodnight! He is more like a little brother to me and I cannot believe he is going to be a dad!
Christmas morning was awesome. We were able to sleep in until about 8:30 this year (which is a miracle in itself) and it was really fun for the kids to be here with some of their cousins! The rest of the day was busy, over to Grandma Chrissy's for lunch and gift exchange and then immediately over to Grandma Jay's for dinner. I think we finally got home around 11 that night thanks to the wonderful winter storm we had to drive in!
