I realize that I haven't blogged in quite some time now. I am so far behind I don't even know where to start! We had such a great Thanksgiving. It all started that morning with family pictures. We have a very LARGE family to say the least. My sister Shontell was able to find a photographer who was not only willing to give up his morning for us, but to incorporate 35 people into one picture... of course we had to use the church! Amazing! Thanks so much Shontell for getting that organized, it was so fun to be able to do that. Here are a couple of shots that were taken with my camera that day. We then went over to Shontell's house for lunch. We had so much food it was unbelievable. Everyone brought a little something and since Bjay and I have missed the last four years of Thanksgiving's it was so nice to be home with family and all of the traditions that go along with it. After we ate, the guys went downstairs to watch Football, the kids went outside to play, and the girls did some crafts. We had over 15 pies to choose from for dessert (crazy huh?). YUMMMMY!
Our Little Family!
Grandpa, Grandma and all their grandkids
I am a Great Aunt, this is Gracelyn who I finally got to meet this trip home, she is so stinking cute!!!!!!

Friday the festivities continued. We went over to Bjay's parents house for their Thanksgiving dinner, again had LOTS of food, lots of desserts, and a really good time. We played a few games, the kids even talked Aunt Lacey into playing Twister with them (that was entertaining), and we just had a really good time. It was so wonderful to be home for once. Thanksgiving in Cyprus was great because we were lucky enough to have great friends to share it with but there is no place like home. Later Friday night I started to feel a little "off". My stomach wasn't feeling right and by the time we got home from Centerville I ran to the bathroom and that is where I remained. I guess the flu that everyone has been having had finally hit me. I have never been so sick in my life. I threw up every 30 minutes on the dot until 4:30 in the morning. Spent the next two days wishing I could throw up because my stomach was still churning but couldn't eat anything to save my life. That is one way to avoid the "holidays weight gain". I feel much better now but it was a good 3 or 4 days before I could even think of eating a decent meal.

Another nephew we finally got to meet, this is Kyles son Zayne,
he is such a doll and I had a ton of fun playing with him.

Zayne had a good hold on Lacey's hair. They had lots of fun!
Since then we have just been busy with normal everyday stuff. Bjay headed to California Wednesday and will be busy looking for a place for us to live. He starts work next week and I think he is really excited about starting. He likes to be busy. I am not sure yet when I will head out of here. I guess when he finds a place I can start planning our drive. Until then, lets get together. I have been lucky enough to see a couple of really old friends and catch up, so anyone I haven't seen yet please lets get together soon.

WOW! You have a Gracelyn in your family too? My Gracie's full name is Gracelyn.. Never heard of any other person with that name before now. Kyle's little boy is so cute! Tell him HI for me! Let's get together for sure next week.. And plan on the 29th for game night with Sherrie! Can't wait!!!
That stinks that a great few days had to end with your head in the toilet:) I'm glad you're feeling better! Other than that, it sounds like your holiday was great. I'm amazed at how you got through holidays without your family. For me, the holidays are all about being at our parents home with family all over the place. It's just complete that way. I'm glad you got to have that this year!!
