Back in my Groove.... sort of

Our House
The backyard... pictures don't do it any justice. In the spring I imagine it will be stunning! Pajha's Room
Peyton's Room
My cute Coo Coo Clock finally has a home!!!
It has been a LONG couple of weeks but California is treating us well. It's warm, its sunny... what more could you ask for??? There is a lot to catch up on so I will just start at the beginning. I wasn't planning on leaving Utah for at least another week when Bjay said to me "sorry Kerryne, I am putting my foot down on this one... you are leaving this weekend. End of conversation"... so I did what any good wife would do. I left. In a jiffy.... he flew out on that Friday (I have forgotten dates) and we packed up and headed out on Saturday afternoon. We decided to put our tow package to good use (well Bjay decided, I was against it from the beginning... just had to throw that in there) and put all of our stuff in a trailer. We closed out our storage unit, loaded it up and headed out. We made it to Provo. The trailer kept fish tailing and honestly scared us both to death so we stopped at the nearest U haul and switched in the trailer for a small truck. He drove the truck and the kids and I rode in the Jeep. By the time we had re-loaded everything and got back on the road it was well past 6. We drove to St. George and stayed the night and finished the drive the next day. It wasn't too bad. Not nearly as long as I thought it would be. The kids did great thanks to the DVD player and snacks. We got here around 5 on Sunday evening. Unloaded everything and started putting beds together. It was like Christmas for me. I haven't seen all of our stuff under one roof in YEARS. We have had it all separated into two different storage units (one and Cali and one in SLC) for over 4 years. We still have tons of stuff coming in (someday) from Cyprus too so once that is here it will be fun to have everything we own right here. The house Bjay got us is really cute. It is a lot smaller than I thought it would be but it is cozy. The yard is gorgeous... the kids have had a blast playing outside. We drove down to the beach last weekend. We ate lunch out on the pier and as we were waiting for our table we saw a Whale and at least 4 or 5 Dolphins not too far out. It was awesome! The kids couldn't resist jumping in the water... fully clothed... lovely! It was a great day!
The restaurant where we ate our lunch
Peyton playing in the sand!
Pajha building a sand castle Getting ready to get wet! And they were off!!!!
Peyton started school last Monday and the first week was rough. He had a bad attitude. He wasn't liking the changes. He missed his school in Utah and all of his friends there, and he was not having any fun. Things are a little bit different so far this week. Granted it is only Monday. Today when I picked him up his teacher gave me a big smile and a thumbs up. PHEW! Everyday last week I spent a half an hour talking with her after school trying to come up with ways to make this move easier for him because he was acting out in class. Let's hope that he continues getting better. I didn't expect him to love it right away. I hate that we had to move so much this year but all I can do is stay positive and hope that it rubs off on him.
We have met a couple of our neighbors. One of them brought over cupcakes yesterday. Everyone seems really nice around here. I love our neighborhood. It seems secluded in a way, super quiet, very pretty area. I feel a little lost. I have become super OCD again... not sure that is a good thing. I guess in Cyprus I started to get out of that because I had so many better things to do than clean, like go out to lunch with the girls, hang out at the beach.... now since I have no friends I spend my entire day cleaning over and over and over again. You could eat off my toliets. I wouldn't recommend it but you could. I need to get a life.
Pajha starts dance Wednesday. She is taking ballet, jazz and tap. Peyton is going to give Karate a try on Wednesday as well and see if it is something he would like to do. I never know with him. I think in a way it might be really good for him. We will see. Pajha has learned how to tie her shoes. After Peyton... I was dreading the day we had to teach her. He wanted to learn so badly but because of his ADHD he just couldn't understand. It took months and months of practicing which lead to tantrums and screaming with him. I came home from the gym the other day to Pajha crying because Bjay told Peyton to teach her how to tie her shoes. Hmmm... so let me get this straight you want an 8 year old... a VERY IMPATIENT 8 year old to teach a 5 year old how to tie her shoes????? Right. I put that to an end. Showed Pajha once, and guess what she has got it down. Phew! I think that is all for now.
