The moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived. We know where we will be going, at last! I am not thrilled, neither is Bjay but at least we will be closer to home. We are going to be living in Oceanside, California. For the last four years we have been living on an Island. I have to admit I am so DONE with the beach, done with humidity, and done with living overseas. However, we will be moving to a place near a beach, probably a bit humid but heck at least it is in America (one out of 3 isn't too bad, right???)..... hmmmm..... I will still be in Utah for at least a couple of months with the kids until we find a place in Cali. Here is where you all come in... I need to see as many of you as I can. I feel like I have been living in a very small bubble (okay, okay.... one that includes internet and a few great friends) but I am aching to be near the ones I love and miss. I need this to feel as normal as possible for my kids. They are beginning to show signs of sadness about leaving Cyprus. I am worried how they will take it. I am worried how we will adjust to all of the new things that will be happening. I just need your love and support if you don't mind :)

You will love Oceanside, we have friends there and it's the best. Hey, we may even end up in San Diego so that would be fun. I am jealous, I love Cali.
Well I am sure we will love it. I am just not looking forward to the cost of living, it is insane in Cali. I hope you guys end up in San Diego, that would be awesome! I feel better about it now... just had to let it "sink in".
California is not too bad. I am glad you will be closer to Utah, that's awesome. Let me know when you're here and available to get together!!!!

i know your tired of an island, but i would kill to live near a beach! my heart aches for the sea!!!!! argggghhhhh. jk. but for reals!!! be happy !!!! and i know your kids will be sad, but let them feel like its a new adventure! because i'm sure its not your last move. cant wait to see you!

I LOVE OCEANSIDE! YOU WILL LIKE IT IS REALLY NICE AND THE WEATHER IS GREAT ALL YEAR ROUND. I LIKE CALI. I WILL FOR SURE VISIT YOU CUZ WE SPEND 7 DAYS IN NEWPORT EVERY YEAR.
I HOPE I GET TO SEE YOU WHILE YOU ARE HERE FOR A FEW MONTHS, I BET YOUR KIDS WILL BE FINE. I HAVE MOVED MY KIDS ALOT AND IT SEEMS LIKE IF I HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE AND GET THEM EXCITED THEN THEY ARE FINE. IT IS STILL HARD THOUGH, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND! How exciting! I'm so happy for you. I'm sure it will be a big adjustment (esp. for the kiddos) but kids are pretty resilient and they'll be fine. You'll love Oceanside -- I lived in Aliso Viejo for 8 years in southern california and that's only about 30 minutes from Oceanside. It's a beautiful place ... and there are so many fun things around to do -- LegoLand, Sea World, Disney, Angel games, great parks, the beach! Keep us updated!
I bet you will LOVE California! I hope your kids adjust well to all of this and do great Kids usually do well with things like that. GOOD LUCK to you guys!

HOORAY!! I will DEFINATELY come visit you in Cali...soooooo much closer and cheaper to visit you!! I think you would miss the beach if you moved anywhere else, missy!! You are a beach BUM!! I'm jealous!! Maybe we can talk Chad into moving out there. He has always wanted to live in California!! We just haven't moved out there because of the cost of living. We were just in Cali and the humidity wasn't TOO bad!! You'll be able to handle it! So, we will see you in about 3 weeks!! I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!!
I've never been to Oceanside... but I do have one word for you: Disneyland! That's (relatively) close by...

It may actually be a good thing for your kids to be in California...maybe having the beach close will give them a little piece of something they liked about Cyprus. It may make their adjustment easier.
All you have to do is let me know when you need someone to hang out with & I will be there:) I'm excited to have you around for a little bit.
Yipee! I am so glad youll be closer- just a bit bummed that you wont be in Utah- But its all good! Jayce is DYING to go to Disneyland so we will be planning that trip for the beginning of the year!---Could be really fun to have some company!!
Hey, that is cool. I have been thinking about moving and I have been worried about my kids as well, they have cried to me saying they don't want to leave their friends, but I have known a lot of people who have moved and their kids are good, they make friends fast and as long as mom is ok then the kids should be ok. I would love to see you guys! Let me know when you get here!
