It's Party Time!

Saturday was such an awesome day! It was Peyton's best friend Madison's birthday party. It was held at Santa Marina Resort here in Cyprus. First of all it's beautiful... and we were in great company. First thing they did was horseback riding. Us mom's even got a turn, which was hilarious watching each of us get on them. It wasn't like the kids where the guides could just pick us up and plop us on. Than we all piled into 5 different buggies (golf carts) and drove down to the lake to feed the Japanese Coy Fish. Well I was on a cart with Kerry (who was driving), Peyton, Madison (Birthday girl) and Sam (Kerry's son). My first honest thought was "oh boy... what am I doing on a cart with Kerry driving" which I happened to say out loud and seconds later... crash... right into the back end of the cart the guide happened to be driving. Apparently the brakes have to be pushed down very hard to get them to work. We had a good laugh about it, that is Kerry for ya (ha ha, love you Kerry). So after feeding the fish, we were back on the buggies for a drive through the resort. We stopped by a very small Chapel that is about 500 years old, an old train that was used for mining, and just took in the views. Our buggie tried very hard to entertain everyone (and embarrass the heck out of the kids) by singing at the top of our lungs. I am sure the kids were embarrassed and we definately entertained ourselves if no one else. After the buggie tour the kids headed down to the stud farm and than we ate and the kids played on the bouncy castle. By far the best thing about this resort is that they are building a climbing wall and it should be done by the end of the month. I haven't been climbing since last summer and even though I would much rather climb on a REAL wall I am looking forward to whatever I can get! I am anxious to get on that wall! And even more anxious for the weather to warm up so I can do some real climbing again! Thanks Sunnie for hosting such a wonderful party! It was by far the best kids party we have been to yet!
