This morning Peyton was complaining about having to go to school. The boy loves school, once he gets there but he is like his dad and loves to sleep even more. I started to tell him that in order for him to grow up and become an astronaut (his most recent obsession) he has to have an education. Otherwise he won't be able to get the carreer he wants. I told him that I had to go to school, and dad had to go to school, etc. Then he said to me "But mom, you don't even have a job so why did you go to school?" Pardon me? I don't have a job???? WELL! Then I told him that being a mother and a wife is my job now, and it is a lot of work (more than he will ever understand) but I used to have other jobs too. He asked me what they were. I started telling him... I was a receptionist, I worked with Elderly people, I worked in a restaurant and that is when he stopped me and said "YOU worked in a restaurant? Mom, you can't even cook really good". Thanks Pal! Culinary classes, here I come! Until then, if anyone has any blow your kids mind recipes please feel free to pass them on. The little guy thinks I need some help!

That is funny I was going to post a Help Me Cook blog. I just have not got to it yet. I need some new recipes. So when you receive some let me know. Thanks
Once again, the brutal honesty of kids takes down their mothers self-esteem another few notches. So sorry about that. You can't help but love the innocence, though. Isn't it funny how difficult it is for your kids to imagine you ever doing anything besides pick up after them:)
