Seriously! Another very disappointing day. Remember a while back I spoke of the only mall in Cyprus (for my few fellow readers)? Well it is about a 50 minute drive to get to it, but they have this playland where you can drop your kids off and let them play while you shop. PERFECT right? So today Sunnie, Debbie and I took the 5 kids, practically threw them in the Playland and RAN for some much needed girl time (we were all in desperate need of it). Of course they take your name and number so that they can call you should there be any problems. We had just sat down with a muffin and a drink when my phone rang. "Hello, Kerryne? It's the playland, your child needs you". Lovely. I rush over there, and it is Peyton. To be honest I can't even remember what he "needed" but somehow I talked him into going back in and playing so that I could get some girl time in. So now I am back with the girls. Phew! Five minutes later my phone rings AGAIN. Pajha this time, "mommy, I need a drink!" Okay so ask the lady for a cup of water. "okay mommy". Sigh. Off to another store. Ten minutes later my phone rings again. Pajha..... again, "mommy, I just wanted to talk to you". OH MY HECK, that was three calls within 20 minutes. I talk to her, and we are off again. Not for long (you see how this is going). Call after call after call after call. It was RIDICULOUS (they called me 8 times within a 2 hour period). At one point I had Peyton "shopping" with me, then he decided to go back to the playland, only to switch him off with Pajha who just wanted to be with me because she missed me. Sweet..... yes, but it didn't make me want to do anything but RUN away screaming. I just can't catch a break. I need a break. I thought this was the perfect idea. Kids would have fun, I would have fun, we would be one big happy family. Now all I am is frustrated that I used the gas to drive out there, paid the money for them to "play", and spent my morning dragging kids around on my legs not enjoying a moment of it.

Oh that is so annoying, especially because it is far from home and you can't just bag the trip and get our of there. Why can our kids sense whenever we are in desperate need of non-mommy time and seek to ruin it?
At least you got to go to the mall...
I'm so sorry!!! I've had too many of those days to remember. You think that the kids will enjoy themselves & you can relax & everything goes the opposite direction. I so completely sympathize with you right now. Kids have perfect timing don't they? Hope you get some time to yourself (or with the girls) soon:)
So true, it is like they can sense that mom might actually have fun if we let her... we better put an end to this madness. Oh well, all in all it wasn't that bad. I did get to eat Sushi... so I guess it was worth it!
