Good Day!

I decided that it was due time to write about something other than how crazy my kids are making me this summer!!!!! Today was a pretty darn good day. The kids were almost perfect Angels. I got a LOT accomplished without being interrupted every 5 minutes from fighting children. The only bummer was that my washing machine broke last night. Since we are in a serious water crisis over here they shut water off Mon until Tues night, turn it on until Wednesday morning, off again until Thursday evening (until Friday morning) and again off until Saturday night in which it stays on until Sunday evening. My washing days are very limited since I am only awake for a few of the "on hours", and the fact that each load takes an eternity makes it all the more impossible to actually make a dent in my laundry. Well last night not even a budge was made. GRRRR! Today the guy came over to fix it only to find out that it wasn't broken... there is a very UN-OBVIOUS filter on the bottom, which I might add no one in their right mind would ever look at it and go "oh... that is a filter... maybe I should clean it out" that was FULL because obviously it hadn't been cleaned out in 3 years. I am sure this man was thinking "stupid American.... wasting my time to come out here and clean your filter for you". Anyway, washer fixed. Now I just have to wait until the water gets turned back on to do my laundry. Just let me clarify... we do get baths everyday... we don't stink! We have a large water tank for that sort of stuff, but the washer is hooked up to a different hose and so it is the only thing that has really suffered this crisis. Back to my point... good day, kids behaved, loads of cleaning got done, and tomorrow is Girls Night Out! Yahooo! It is a bitter sweet GNO... our last one before Sunnie leaves... lets hope we can all hold it together!
