Easter Eve

Coloring her Eggs!!! Peyton had a blast!!! Our treat for the Easter Bunny... and my sad attempt at being creative... you can understand why I don't attempt to be creative very often!!! I gave each of the kids their own batch to decorate! Aren't they sweet? My two little Monsters!!!

Today was a little disappointing for me and the kids. We had plans to go rock climbing this morning so I flew out of bed (literally... since the snooze button took over this morning) at 7:30 got myself dressed and ready. (I have to add this bit in because anyone who knows Pajha would find this truly amazing)... I went in to get the kids up and as I walked into Pajha's room she was not there, and her room was CLEAN... super clean in fact. Bed made, toys all put away... you name it! Last night I had told her that if she didn't clean her room before Easter the bunny wouldn't come because he would say "That Pajha has too many things as it is, she can't even keep her room clean now".... (I use that for Christmas too, he he he). Anyway, that is a HUGE accomplishment for Pajha, she is my messy kid and has absolutely NO desire to clean or tidy up ever! Where was I? Oh yes... got the kids ready to go by 8 and we were out the door to meet up with everyone. I had to stop and get some ice for the cooler, drinks and food to take with us and realized that I wasn't going to make it to the meeting point by 8:30 so I grabbed my phone to text Steve and let him know I might be a few minutes late. There it was a text from him that I missed saying "Have to cancel... we were up all night with the baby and we are exhausted". That's just great!!! Peyton was not happy, and I knew that I had to figure out something to make it up to them.... luckily it is Easter here tomorrow... so we came back home and started the preparations. We colored eggs and made rice crispies for the kids to decorate. Despite the fact that I am exhausted, the kids have been pretty quiet and involved in their crafts so I can't complain (aside from the fact that Peyton found black spray paint outside and thought it would be funny to spray Pajha's cute new dress with it... grrrr). I have a major mess to clean so I need to find some energy real quick!!!! Here are some pictures of what the kids have been up to today. Hopefully I will have some great climbing pics here pretty soon. It has been a really long time since I have been, and Peyton is anxious to get on that wall so maybe next week!!!!!
