Playplace? Why bother!

I couldn't bare to sit home all day again... as it is we haven't left our house since early Saturday morning... it is now Monday! So some friends and I took our kids to a little playplace to let them burn off some energy (story of my life). I don't really know why we bother doing this... what usually ends up happening is the kids sit with us bugging us to buy them lollipops, drinks, chips, etc... nevermind that there is a HUGE playplace full of slides and things to climb on just a few feet away. Today was no different. Pajha for some reason attaches herself to my hip in these situations and becomes VERY demanding. She wanted a lollipop, I told her she could have one when we left if she behaved. (I had already purchased one and it was in my purse). Well that wasn't good enough for her, she wanted it NOW. I told her again "when we leave you may have it IF you behave"... the attitude started... I closed my eyes and said "when I open my eyes you better be gone playing or you will not get anything... one.... two....." (I peeked, she was gone, PHEW). Didn't last long she came right back just a few minutes later. It went something like this...

Mom: "Pajha, why do you think I bring you to the playplace? Do you think I bring you here so that you can sit here and bug me?"

Pajha: "No..."

Mom: "Well I bring you here to play and you are not playing are you?"

Pajha: "No, because I am sitting here bugging you!"

At this point my friends are laughing, I am laughing and that made Pajha think she was pretty funny! Uh huh... a comedian! Anyway, they finally played (or something like that) and we left. On the way home Peyton had a very good question for me! Sometimes I fear his questions... often times he catches me off guard.

Peyton: "Mom, howcome when you are mad at us you say our whole name? You know like you will say Peyton Shane Brown instead of just Peyton?"

Mom: totally caught off guard.... thinking.... "ummm.... well because that is just what mom's do!"

Why do we do that??? LOL!
