Back to reality! It is true that you need a vacation after your vacation just to get back to normal! We have been back for a few days and though it was wonderful to be in Germany with family it was wonderful to come home to our house and our routine. Everything seemed to be going very smoothly until Tuesday night. Bjay had gone out with the guys and literally 5 minutes after he left my dog was a mess. She was playing with something in the corner. I thought she had finally caught that darn fly that I saw earlier so I walked over to see what she was doing and right then she was stung by the bee she was playing with. She started yelping and licking her paw. Poor thing. I didn't think anything of it, just got the bee back outside and than Peyton says "Mom, Nikki is puking"... so I run over and sure enough she was. She seemed okay again after that. I figured she ate something outside and just had to get it out. Well she starts puking again, and then she just plops on the floor and wouldn't come to me when I called her, she looked lifeless. OH MY GOSH... panic came over me. For those of you who don't know we had a puppy a couple of years ago that suddenly died because he ingested poison. Where it came from we can't prove but I know for a fact that it wasn't in my house (and we also know that we have some neighbors who HATE dogs, HATE cats, and I have witnessed them poisoning a stray)!!!! AND I don't keep rat poison anywhere near my home! Anyway when he died the same thing started happening just out of the blue he was fine and than he was very sick. Nikki looked awful and she just wouldn't move. I tried to pick her up and it was like picking up a ragdoll. I called the vet and he said bring her in now. So we rushed to the vet's office. The entire way there I was in tears... thinking how in the world am I going to explain to my kids that they have lost another puppy if she should not make it. They are still haunted by the image of our last dog dying. So we get to the vet, I run in and just throw Nikki at him pleading "HELP HER... don't let her die!!!" I told him that the only thing that happened just before she got sick, was she was stung by a bee. He gave her a few shots and she perked up a bit. Turns out my little pup is allergic to bee's. Apparently most dogs are but because she is so small (barely weighs 8 lbs) the venom from one bee alone affects her much differently than it would a larger dog. PHEW! She is back to normal today. Scared the heck out of me though. She is such a good dog! We truly love her to bits!

OH MY GOODNESS GIRL! I was about to tell you to stick the the "stuffed" animal pets! SHEESH! That is no fun at all! I'm glad she "perked" right up! Her and Josch have something in common! I'll tell him...poor little thing....K - I'm still not so happy about the coo-coo clock - well, happy for you that you GOT one - but sad for me - because I WANT one! Don't worry - I'll get over it! SOMEDAY! :O) I had a dream the other night - in my mere 10 minutes of sleep due to Mr. SNORKEL! - we were fighting over the coo-coo clock - not a pretty site...but I've forgiven you for hitting me with the "weights" on it... you can have the clock - I'll just stick to my nice digital, bright green light up, alarm clock..it's ok! :O)
Have a good day! Glad you are home and glad everything is going swell for you!
LOVE YOU MUCH!!
MISS YOU TOO!!!

I totally understand. I'm so glad your dog is okay. We almost lost our dog to rat poison. She started having seizures and then started into renal failure - but then she just rebounded! She is here for a reason!! (but we were left with a MASSIVE vet bill!)
