Day 5- St. Gallon & Gossau Switzerland! This was a really fun day! We drove to the Walter Zoo in Switzerland. I have been to alot of Zoo's in my time and although this one was very small in size it was probably the most fun I have had. They had a fabulous Orangutang exhibit (which is where we spent most of our time). They had at least 10 adults and I think 4 babies. One of them was born the day before and they were absolutely adorable. We were lucky enough to get there at the time when they were feeding the animals. We got to watch them feed the Leopards, which was really entertaining. It was 3 or 4 cubs and a mother. The female cub was very greedy and every time the man went to give food to any of the others she would hiss and attack. But when it was her turn no one bothered her, the boy's were very well behaved. While they were preparing the feeding area for the Orangutangs they had them all in a seperate cage together and they went from calm, to absolutely going ape. He he... it was chaotic and a little scary actually. They were jumping all over the place, pounding on the windows and the walls. It was interesting to watch the mothers with the babies. Everytime the male's would get a little excited they would nudge eachother into safety. We were expecting feeding time to be crazy but they all calmly went in, found thier special spots and ate. We watched the babies try to climb the ropes and watched the adults even tease them just as we do with our own kids. It was awesome! We bought the kids some popcorn to feed the goats and the Llama's. They were all very calm and let us pet them and feed them without fearing they would take off a finger. One of the Llama's took Pajha's bag of popcorn from her and it got stuck on it's nose. It just dumped it upside down until there was nothing left in it. We all took turns riding the camels too! We had a great time! Than we drove to St. Gallon for dinner and again to walk around the town center. Met an American man who was playing his guitar and entertaining the kids with songs and balloons.
