Day 6 - Triberg, Germany
This was by far my favorite day we spent in Germany. We drove about an hour and a half to Triberg which is an amazing little town deep in the black forest famous for it's coo coo clocks. The forest was beautiful. I haven't seen tree's like that in I don't know how long. It was indescribable. We went in to this little shop called House of 1000 Clocks (http://www.houseof1000clocks.de/content/wir.html?en) for anyone interested in visiting their website (they will ship to the USA)! They had so many beautiful clocks in there. They are all hand made and we thought that we just had to get one. When in the world would we ever be able to go back there and buy a clock like that again? So we totally splurged... and we may regret it right now but we just had to do it! I can't find a picture of the actual one we got and our battery died on our camera so we didn't get a picture of it but this is the one Bjay's parents got, and ours is very similar in color. They had the same roofs, but the decor is quite a bit different. There was this amazing waterfall that we hiked up to the top of. It was a very long, wet hike! Loved every second of it. Made me really miss the Mountains back home! We also ate some black forest cake... yummmmy... couldn't visit the black forest without having some of that!!!
