Well we are back! What a great vacation that was, and we are glad we did it while we had the opportunity to do so! Day 1 and 2 - We arrived in Munich, Germany late Sunday evening. Picked up our rental car and decided that our Google Map directions would take care of us so we bypassed on the GPS system. What a BIG mistake. After driving around for over an hour searching for our hotel we decided that we were crazy to think we could last a week in Germany with no GPS. So we drove straight back to Hertz and forked out more money. It was money well spent. We typed in the address to our hotel and 20 minutes later the nice lady said "You have arrived". What a wonderful phrase! We kept joking that the first thing she should have said to us was "You idiots thought you could make it in Germany without me? HA". Anyway, GPS is a wonderful invention and it was the best thing we could have done for this vacation. We went straight to bed, and woke up early the next morning to head to Lindau, Germany where we would be spending the remainder of our time. The hotel was easy to find (thanks to our lovely guide) however we were very disappointed. The internet lied to us big time. Everything that it said it had.... it didn't. There was no sauna, no pool, no gym, no internet access. What a joke. It is a good thing we didn't spend much time indoors. To top it off the Hotel owner wasn't very nice, and he smelled really bad. So we get all settled in, and decided that we would spent the day checking out this little Island we were going to be staying on. We walked around and found a park for the kids to play at. Had some lunch and than walked around the town center for hours. There are some really amazing building's in Germany. And it is a very clean country. Bjay's family was arriving later Monday evening so we decided to call it an early night so we would be up and ready in the morning for whatever they had in mind. Day 3 - Bjay's family had arrived. We were a large crowd. Bjay's parents, Grandpa Art, Uncle Mike, Uncle Julio & Aunt Tracey with their 3 kids, and Uncle Dennis & Aunt Karly with their 4 kids... plus the four of us. They decided that they wanted to drive to Lindau and hang out with us there. SO we spent the entire day once again walking around Lindau. We had lunch at a cute little cafe called Amadeus, walked around for hours and hours, had some hot chocolate to warm up (it was super cold) and walked some more. Had dinner together and than went our seperate ways so we could all get some rest! Here is a slideshow of our first few days in Germany!
